Travel plan is now in place. We leave on 6 Feb 2011 from Heathrow and stop over in Singapore for 2 nights Ibis Hotel. The on to Melbourne where we pick up a car for 4 days travel on the cean Road to Apollo bay and then up to Sydney via The Blue Mountains. We stop in Sydney for 4 nights beofre flying north to Cairns and transfer to beautiful Port Douglas where we have a beach side apartment for 7 nights. From their we take a short flight to Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays staying 3 nights at Summit Apartments, Airlie Beach before returning to Cairns for one night. Then its off again to Sydney and then on to the New Zealand leg.
We land at Christchurch and spend a day and a night there before picking up our Fiat Ducato campervan which will be our home and transport for the next 26 days and nights. Still working out our itinerary but we will be meeting up with Pete and Carol,our friends from Skye and previously Curry Rivel. We cross to North Island by ferry hoping to see the whales and a further tour of that part of New Zealand.
Then its off to the next leg which involves Bangkok, Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hue, Danang, Ho Chi Min City before chilling out in Pneu Quoc resort in preparation for the long journey back to UK on 14/15 April.
